Best IT companies to work for in SA

Corporate Research Foundation Institute (CRF) Best Employer Index reveals the best employers in South Africa
The Corporate Research Foundation Institute (CRF) has released their 2011/12 Best Employer Index. The results were unveiled at a gala function in Sandton last night (24 August 2011).The Best Employer Index rates companies in the following areas: organisation strategy; the HR function; communication; diversity management; corporate social responsibility; knowledge management; talent management and engagement; performance management; and rewards and recognition.
Microsoft SA has been rated as the Best Employer in South Africa for 2011/12 by the CRF Institute, followed by Accenture SA and SAP South Africa.
When it came to the best telecommunications companies to work for Vodacom came out tops, followed by Telkom and MTN South Africa.
The Best Employers 2011/2012 overall ranking is given in the table below (a total of 69 organisations were listed this year).

According to Samantha Crous, the CRF Institute’s Country Manager, the importance of the Best Employers campaign is that it recognises that success lies in an organisation’s ability to distinguish itself by establishing and promoting excellent HR strategies and practices that can attract, retain and engage the right talent.
